In a remarkable achievement, Professor Li Shao, an alumnus of Beijing University of Chinese Medicine, has been named among the top 0.05% of the world's leading scholars in the 2025 ScholarGPS rankings. 

Li, a tenured professor at Tsinghua University and director of the Tsinghua University Beijing Traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) Interdisciplinary Research Institute, has achieved the top position in both "Traditional Chinese characters" and "Traditional Chinese medicine" categories for lifetime academic influence, repeating his success from 2024. He also ranked first globally in the same fields for the prior five years, marking him as a dual leader in these categories.
