On March 7, Beijing University of Chinese Medicine held its 2026 Continuing Education Inauguration Ceremony at the Heping Street Campus gymnasium. This event marked the second cohort of students since resuming admissions, highlighting the university's ongoing commitment to educational reform and quality enhancement.

Vice-President Wang Ting, Director of the Continuing Education Department Fan Lu, and Dean of the Continuing Education School Shi Lin attended the ceremony. The event began with the national anthem at 9 am. Vice-President Wang warmly welcomed the new students, emphasizing the importance of traditional Chinese medicine as a cultural treasure. He noted the government's support for TCM and the integration of education and continued learning in this field. Wang encouraged students to maintain their passion for knowledge, develop their skills in practice, and contribute to public health and TCM revitalization.

Student representative Zhao Zhenli shared his connection to BUCM, having completed his diploma there. He expressed pride in returning for further education and pledged, on behalf of all new students, to diligently pursue knowledge, uphold ethics, and innovate. Zhao urged his peers to seize this opportunity, guided by their aspirations, to contribute to the TCM field.

Director Fan Lu led the students in reciting excerpts from Great Medical Ethics, underscoring the values of compassion and professional integrity.

Post-ceremony, an orientation introduced students to BUCM's history, continuing education development, and future learning plans. Faculty provided guidance on academic management, exam protocols, graduation requirements, and campus safety.

This year, 454 students enrolled in programs including Chinese Medicine, Traditional Chinese Pharmacy, and Nursing. BUCM is committed to educational reform, aiming to enhance its "technology-enabled, intelligent education" model and support the development of a premier TCM continuing education brand.
