To ensure a safe and stable start to the new semester, Beijing University of Chinese Medicine (BUCM) conducted a comprehensive campus safety inspection. Led by President Tang Zhishu and Vice-president Wang Ting, the team included Zhao Jianlei, director of the Student Affairs Department; Wang Chao, director of the Logistics Department; Gao Lin, director of the Security Department; Deputy Director Zhang Haifeng, and other faculty members.

The inspection covered key areas such as cafeterias, dormitories and the central control room. University leaders listened to reports, assessed the operational status of school services, and evaluated the return of students and faculty. They reviewed security and fire safety equipment, checked the implementation of safety measures, and provided directives for rectifying identified issues. This process helped identify potential risks and reinforced safety responsibility across departments.

President Tang emphasized maintaining high political awareness and responsibility for safety, advocating the principle of "safety first, life foremost." He stressed the importance of constant vigilance and proactive risk management, urging timely elimination of hazards to ensure campus safety and stability. Tang also highlighted the need for a robust accountability system through grid-based safety management, with clear responsibilities enforced at every level. This approach aims to foster collaboration in safeguarding the campus, ensuring the safety of students and staff, and supporting the university's high-quality development.
